We Believe

Ron and Marsha prayerWhat We Believe

God’s Greater Grace Ministries' Doctrinal Statement

THE SCRIPTURES: We believe that all Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, is God-breathed, inerrant, and “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Every Word of the Holy Bible was made, not by an act of human will, “but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21).

GOD: We believe in the one true God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Romans 8:9).

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: We believe in: His eternal existence as God; His incarnation and virgin birth; His death on the cross as the perfect and only sacrifice for the sins of all mankind; His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead; His present ministry of intercession for the saints (all Christians); and His personal and imminent return to earth (John 1; Colossians 1; Hebrews 1; Revelation 22:12-13).

THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Helper from the Father given to every Christian. He indwells followers of Jesus and convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He teaches and brings to the remembrance of Christians the Word of Christ. He empowers Christians and intercedes for them according to the will of God (John 14:26; 16:8; Romans 8:26-27).

SALVATION: We believe that salvation is through faith in Christ Jesus alone.  Becoming a Christian is believing that Jesus is the Savior, seeking Him for forgiveness, and giving one’s life to Him by asking Him to live in them as Savior and Lord (Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:9-13).
